With Beyoncé busy being Mrs Carter lately, Solange has been the quiet achiever of the Knowles brood, carving out her own sizable nook in the music industry. In a recent interview, Solange revealed some of the collaborators for upcoming full-length album, which will be released under her new label Saint. So far, she’s keeping good company with the likes of Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth, Chairlift’s Patrick Wimberley and Drake-affiliated singer/producer Sampha.
With no release date or title confirmed yet, Solange assures it will drop in 2014.
“When you have a goal in mind you definitely stay motivated. I’m trying to stay motivated because I know it took four years before my last record cam out. That is not happening – it’s gonna come out next year.”
